A longtime resident of Lake Charles, La she was the only daughter of Ernest Fontenot and Pearl "Vice" Langley. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Athan M LeBleu; her mother, father and brother, Willis Fontenot, She is survived by two sons, Dr Raymond LeBleu and wife, Carolyn, and Harold J. LeBleu; and one daughter, Juanita LeBleu Vines and husband, John Michael "Mike" Vines of Dallas, TX all of whom will miss her greatly. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly and will miss her very much as well.
Lillie was an extraordinary woman of unwavering faith and strong, principled values that she lived out on a daily basis. She had high expectations of herself but more importantly, she was an example of the virtues she believed in, she was a homemaker for the better part of her life until she went to work at St Patrick's Hospital as a nurse's aide in the early 1960's. She then began working for the sitter's registry and subsequently purchased and operated it under the name LeBleu Nurses/Sitters registry until 2001 when she had a stroke and retired. She was proud of the fact that in her capability as a owner of the registry, she was able to help numerous people not only by providing care for their loved ones and also providing friendship to those who worked for her. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and thanks to her dedicated and committed caretakers, Mary Malone, Eula Whatley and Louise Tate who spent countless hours making sure she was comfortable and well cared for. She loved each of you and we are forever grateful to you.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 4pm-9pm at a rosary starting at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. On Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4pm-6pm the family will again greet friends and relatives with a mass starting at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home.
